a letterhead, envelope, and business card design for reconstruxion, a clothing store i created. i worked on this entire advertising campaign for 11 weeks straight and i can honestly tell you i'm REALLY REALLY SICK OF IT. so now i'll upload it and be done with it. haha. anyway, the business card is larger than it should be in comparison to the other pieces so that you can actually see it. the splats are brushes by tymoe, and i can't remember where the retro girls came from....if i can find the info for them i'll post it here.

It looks rather cool and I'd say after 11 weeks worth of work or whatever the time is it should be. Nice job.

This is very cool, the letterhead/layout thing is really effective. I like the way you have made use of the whole space, rather than just the top and bottom designs (excuse the terminology) that usually pop up everywhere. A question or two for you... what is your design background? I ask as I've just completed a 3 year degree that has nothing to do with graphic design, which incidentally has grown to become my passion.. I want to get started in this industry!! Any tips or antyhing would be excellent

thank you for the comment! and i'm actually still a student. as far as getting into design, i don't know how much help i'll be, but i recommend learning and investing in the main programs you'll use...photoshop, quark, indesign, illustrator. familiarize yourself with basic design theories & principles (there's tons of books, Borders has a good design section) as well as printing methods and then start taking little local jobs (designing brochures for a church or something) to build a portfolio. it's hard work to freelance, but it's the fastest way to start building a portfolio if you're not a student.
